Robin Colucci is an author, writer, producer, and performer whose award-winning solo show, Intact: One Woman's Search for Home, won Best Original Music at United Solo's 19th Season's Awards. The show marked Robin's return to solo work after roughly a decade away.

Robin's performance roots run deep. She's performed musical theater during her school days including: Mabel in Pirates of Penzance, Nancy in Oliver! and Maria in The Sound of Music. She also has landed professional lead roles in straight plays, including Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Myrtle Mae in Harvey, and Lala — girlfriend to the title character — in Ooma's Ladder, the two-person original play that won the 1992 Rocky Mountain Playwrights Festival.

In Denver, she sharpened her comedic instincts as a member of Head Games, a professional improv troupe that performed throughout Denver and Boulder, and studied acting in a summer intensive at the National Theater Conservatory. She also did commercial and voiceover work, including an ongoing regional campaign for Shane Company Jewelry in the early 1990s.

Then life took a turn. Robin set her acting ambitions aside to help build her then-husband's personal fitness training business. For years, she thought her performing life was over. Until 2014, when she caught the bug again, and dipped a toe into stand-up comedy.

A move to Connecticut in 2016 reignited her connection to music and eventually became the lead singer of a local band formed during COVID called "Maybe Next Week." Named for its ever-shifting rehearsal schedule, the band played at various venues along the Connecticut shoreline for about five years. That creative spark eventually led to a wilder idea: writing a one-woman show about growing up as a Gen X woman from a "broken" home. The result was Intact: One Woman's Search for Home, which premiered at New York City's United Solo Festival in March 2025 and returned twice by popular demand, including an encore at Theatre Row in November 2025.

Robin's life tells a parallel story: after leaving her marriage, Robin returned to publishing — a field she'd pursued upon completing her undergraduate journalism degree at George Washington University in 1986 — and drawing on her early experiences in journalism and publishing, plus her experience building and scaling a fitness business, and an MA in Spiritual Psychology she earned in 2003, Robin went on to found World Changing Books. She now helps thought leaders write books that get traditionally published. As she's said of the connection between the two callings, writing and performing Intact has made her a sharper storyteller in every part of her work — bolder, more economical, and more willing to portray her own vulnerability.

Robin has launched two grown children and lives near the beach on the Connecticut shoreline with her two pugs, where she continues to perform, write, and coach. And, best of all, she hosts her family each year for summer beach week, a full family fall reunion, and various holiday meals — proof that one can come from a "broken" home and still create "intact."
